David Krause
David Krause was born and raised in Canada. After receiving a degree in Turfgrass Management and 5 years experience as a golf course superintendent, in 1986 he began his golf design career in Spain with the renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Senior at the Valderrama Golf Club. Upon completion of the extensive renovation project, David worked alongside the late Seve Ballesteros in the development of Pont Royal, a 5 star resort in the south of France.
In 1993 he founded his own practice in Germany. Active throughout Europe he has successfully developed many new courses and renovated/ restored numerous other established layouts. His projects include 12 of the Top 50 golf courses in Germany. (GolfMagazin 2015)
A keen single digit handicap golfer, David Krause is a Past-President of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects and speaks English, French, Spanish and German.
Johannes Schmeelk
Johannes Schmeelk is a certified Financial Accountant and for more than 19 years he is an active golfer with a single digit handicap.
After his experience in the banking, he became a partner and managed a contracting company for more than 20 years.
Johannes adds his business experience and expertise to our Finance and Controlling part of the Krause Golf Design operations and is our expert for project feasibility studies.
